Ruskin has established himself as a force in the Kansas City music scene for the past three decades.

He started playing professionally at 18 playing rock, pop, funk, R&B, country, jazz, experimental, and folk music. His parents (Tommy Ruskin & Julie Turner, pillars in the KC jazz community), surrounded him with music since birth.

Brian has been a fixture throughout the region and spent several years as a part of the Austin, TX, music scene.
